We picked Duke up a new Kong toy because he was so addicted to the Kong Classic. He’s had it for about a week and he’s started to leave bite marks in it and chew around the bottom hole. It won’t last him much longer!
We decided to move him up to the Kong Extreme black toys because of his super jaws. This week he got the Extreme Goodie Bone. Duke loves playing tug of war with it but doesn’t seem too keen on having it stuffed like his Kong Classic. He’s also enjoying playing simple games of fetch with it, but it requires one of us to play with him. Duke has started playing one man fetch with his Kong Classic because it is so bouncy on our hardwoord floors.
My sister also sent some goodies for Duke, including tennis balls. He shredded the PetSmart brand one we bought within 30 minutes, but has done much better with the real tennis ball. We don’t allow him to have it unattended, but as a special treat or at the dog park, it’s okay!
The next thing I’d like to get him is a Kong Extreme to replace his Kong Classic. Then down the line we can pick up some more Extreme toys. As much as I think puzzle toys would be fun, the boy likes his classic rubber toys, so I figure why mess with success!
All Kong toys were purchased with our own money. We have not been contacted by Kong in any form. All opinions are our own.
